Hey Guys!

I'm re-posting this from Renee. I want to get a possible count for her and possible month for her to check into. If we do the muny in Aug., maybe we should go for the wine and watercolor in Sept or Oct. (but they are doing roosters in sept :( and pumpkins in oct :). Can you tell which is my favorite? But, if we want to do it in sept and if we love it do it another month that's good too! She is looking at possibly getting a private class for us, if there is enough. That is why I'm trying to get a tentative count of interested people. So let me know and I will get it to Renee.

Check out the art work , she will be adding fall and winter classes. She does them on Friday nights BUt will do a Private Party for us if we have 10-14 People. She likes to know at least a month ahead so she can reserve the Classroom.

It is really fun, and I hear, the More wine ya drink the better your artwork looks…kinda like Last Call! (-;

50th Anniversary wishes for Coach Larry Reid and his wife, Jan

I was thinking about having everyone meet me at the Wal Mart
parking lot in Highland. The easiest way to come into Highland is to get on Interstate 70
East bound to Exit 24 Highland. After you get off that exit follow it to the right and
you will then take IL 143 into Highland. You will travel a good distance on IL 143,
as you get into Highland there will be a stoplight at the Wal Mart store. The street name
you will make a left turn on is Calley Lane. I will be in the back part of the parking lot
behind where they have the plants and landscaping closest to IL 143. I have a Mercury
Mariner that is a reddish wine color.

I know the parking by House of Plenty, is on the street so if some want to carpool
that would be our best bet. There is parking by the Masonic building that they allow
patrons of the restaurant to use. I will check that out to see if it is still okay.
House of Plenty has changed hands in the past few years, I hear they still have
great food. Of course, Chocolate Affair and the Peacock Bakery are within walking
distance from the House of Plenty. When we go to the shops on the square then
we will drive those few blocks. The other thing I didn't mention earlier is the square
has a lovely fountain area and walkways through it. Let's just pray we have a nice and
low humidity summer day :) :)

I guess the next thing is what time does everyone want to meet?

Larry W. Pugh, 64, formerly of Alton, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Edwardsville.

He was born on Oct. 9, 1946, in DuQuoin, Ill., the son of Don B. and Fern (Short) Pugh.

Survivors include one daughter and son in law: Elsa and Laren Zeller of Edwardsville, Illinois, one son: Mason Ocean of Edwardsville, Illinois, four grandchildren: Evan Zeller, Ava Zeller, Ellen Zeller, Audrey Zeller, four brothers and sisters in law: Roger and Lauren Pugh of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Ron and Gloria Pugh of Alton, Illinois, Don Pugh Jr. of Wood River, Illinois, and David and Melissa Pugh of East Alton, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

He was a self employed contractor. He loved his grandchildren and riding his bicycle. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be held from 2 until time of reflection services 4 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Private inurnment was held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials are suggested to an education fund that will be established for his grandchildren and will be accepted at the funeral home.

The latest and final word on outing to Eckarts is:

We will be leaving the Shop n Save parking lot at 10 AM. I should have posted earlier that Cheryl needed a head count on for Eckarts. I have not heard if she gave them a tenitive count or not.

Some people have shied away from the idea of "shopping" meaning a lot of walking. But, there is a gourmet grocery/meat market type store there which is the shopping mentioned.

The restaurant is cafe type and small and homey.

There is a playground/petting zoo behind the parking lot. Hopefully, it will be sunny and we can mill around sit and talk.

So you can walk as little or as much as you want.

Give us a count here by hitting respond on the information here and we will be glad to give them a final count later this week.
