Sidney Lynn Pierson) Castelli, 65, died at 11:53 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her residence. She was born August 11, 1951 in Alton the daughter of Thomas and Willie (Stinnett) Pierson. She retired in 2008 after 25 years of service as secretary for Moonlight Restaurant in Alton. She was a member of the former College Avenue Presbyterian Church and was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

On February 9, 1976 in Alton she married Michael L. Castelli and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joseph Castelli of Alton and Thomas Castelli of Alton, three grandchildren, Katherine Castelli, Kristina Castelli and August “Auggie” Castelli, and one sister, Leslie Connor of Godfrey.
