FIELDON – Brenna Joyce Bishop, 73, passed away at 5:05 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jerseyville.
She was born in Alton, Illinois on April 10, 1951, one of five children born to the late Arthur Daniel “Art” and Rosalie (Buffington) Badgley and graduated with the Class of 1969 from Alton High School.
She married William Bishop on October 8, 1973 in Godfrey and together they were the proud parents of a son, Andrew. Throughout their 50 years of marriage, they shared in many wonderful memories together. They truly were one another’s best friend, sharing in each other’s joys and facing each other’s hardships, as one.
For many years, Brenna was employed with the Reynolds Corporation, working as a Machine Operator in their Jacksonville production facility.
She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and was extremely talented at both. She spent countless hours mastering her craft, until her battle with Alzheimer’s disease no longer allowed her to pursue it.
Surviving are her husband, William Bishop of Fieldon; a son, Andrew Bishop of Chapin; three grandchildren, Claire, Henry and Alex; two brothers, Hubert (Linda) Badgley of Eureka, Missouri, Ken (Terry) Badgley of Alton, Karen Port of Saint Louis, Missouri and Carol Badgley of Edwardsville.
Per her wishes, no services will be held.
