I was fortunate to be able to stay home and raise our son. After he graduated from high school and entered college, I took a job at Alton Memorial Hospital as the volunteer coordinator. I had been serving on the White Cross Auxiliary board for almost 10 years and volunteering at the hospital anyway. My husband Pat is now retired, and my job is just part time which allows us free time to do whatever!!!

Francine has been my best friend since we were in first grade together in Mrs. Patterson's class. As you go through life we both had our own interests etc. but always remained close and connected. We had so many laughs and wonderful memories. We were both maid of honor in each other's wedding.
When she and her husband Butch moved to Oregon we still would talk and also went to visit them with Doug and Stephanie Mendenhall. We had a great time!
I retired first then Francine . We went to London and Paris to celebrate. It was such a great trip, and we were both so glad to have been able to celebrate our retirement together!
Francine was a trooper in her fight against her cancer. Thankful she is in peace and pain no more!
