Terry was the reason I learned to play guitar. When we were at East Junior we shared a homeroom table (in the library?) and he talked about starting to take guitar lessons and that his dad had bought him a Fender Stratocaster. My dad was a guitar picker so I asked him to get me an acoustic guitar, which was a Montgomery Wards Airline acoustic that I still have in my collection of guitars. I was in awe of his talent when I went to a junior high school dance at the at the Masonic Lodge in Upper Alton and saw him on stage playing guitar in a band of much older high school guys. He was a nice person and a humble musician. I am sure Terry's music and spirit touched many others during his life. May his guitar sing forever.
